We are excited that you’ve decided to join the largest and most active modeling community in Malaysia. However, we do have a handful of requirements that must be met in order for you to become a member.
Bio Requirements
You are asked to provide a short bio as part of your application. Please provide details about your experience, goals, reasons for joining SP Models, or any other relevant information. Please err on the side of providing more info rather than less. Also, don't make it sound like a personal ad. Remember.. a good profile will impress the clients to hire you.
Must Be In A Member Category
Your profile must clearly fit into one of the member categories listed upon sign up.
Here are a few profile types that we are not currently allowing to fill this form, but you still can email us to casting@spmodels.net.
- Agencies/managers/recruiters/bookers/scouts/promoters
- Record labels
- Retail outlets
- Web sites
- Online magazines
- Shared, group, or joint profiles
You Must Be You
We do not allow profiles to be set up or managed by people other than the profile owner.
You Must Be Over 16 Years Of Age
Members must be 16 years of age or older. Members under 18 are not allowed to display photos that we deem too provocative or revealing. Unless you're 18 or over you may not display any level of nudity / sheer (that includes "implied" nudity), depictions of bondage or any image that is sexual in nature. Otherwise, you can email to casting@spmodels.net.
Provide At Least 6 Different Photos (more photos are much better!)
At least six different photos are required for all models, but more are much better since we will only choose your best photos to appear in your profile page. No duplicates, re-crops, or manipulations of the same image.
Remember.. All application without uploading any photo will be denied, and models are expected to maintain a minimum of six relevant photos at all times. Use 'Mozilla Firefox' for best resolution. If you have tried many times but still unsuccessful, kindly email your profile with photos and details to sp.menmodels@gmail.com (for male models) or sp.womencasting@gmail.com (for female models).
Show Us Your Face
Your portfolio must show your face clearly.
Show Us All of You
Please include at least 1 full length body shot.
Quality Images Required
We want quality images here. Your photos must be judged to be of sufficient quality. This means that you should not submit webcam shots, mirror shots, poorly exposed photos, too grainy, too much compression, arm's-length self portraits, personal snapshots, etc.
Make Your Photos Big Enough But Not Too Big
SP Models recommends that your photos be 600x800 pixels on the longest side. Anything less than 600x800 pixels or so is typically too small to see.Please note that images wider than 800 pixels will be resized, and images over 300kb will not upload.
Main Profile Photo
Please set your main profile photo as a portrait. You should show your head and possibly your shoulders. Your main profile photo can't be a landscape style photo. View a sample profile photo
No Fakes
We take copyright laws very seriously here. If your photos or profile appear to be the work of someone else, you will be denied. This includes fake tear sheets, advertisements, and magazine covers using existing trademarks.
No Pornography
Pornographic material is not allowed on this site. This includes photos, linking to such sites or networking, or referencing adult work in your bio or portfolio. If you are unclear as to what we deem to be pornography. Please see our Site Rules or you can email to casting@spmodels.net.
Height Requirements
Female Models
- Fashion Models: minimum height is 170cm (without high heels)
- Commercial Models: minimum height is 160cm (without high heels)
Male Models
- Fashion Models: minimum height is 180cm
- Commercial Models: minimum height is 170cm
If your height do not meet the standard requirements, but you think you are good enough to be a professional model, just write to us with your profile attachment to casting@spmodels.net.
Tips & Guidance
Here are some criterias for new models to be a professional model..
- Confidence - very important
- Height - important, but for some jobs it can be acceptable.
- Looks - is just a bonus.
- Talents & Skills - Can develop by training & experience.
- Interest - the most important thing
- Personality, Charisma & Unique Look - is a bonus too.
- Discipline & Good Attitude - Compulsory > without this, this industry will kick you out! No matter how excellent you are..
